The short version: your prompts pass through our server only long enough to rewrite them. Nothing about what you write is stored on our side. Your history lives in your browser.
Wellphrase ("we", "us", "our") is operated by the maker of the Wellphrase Chrome extension. You can reach us at info@wellphrase.com. This policy applies to the extension, the wellphrase.com website, and the wellphrase-api.vercel.app API.
We collect the minimum needed to run the service. Specifically:

Your prompt is transmitted over encrypted channels (TLS) to our API and then to a third-party large-language-model provider that performs the rewrite. The result is returned to you and the request is discarded. We do not log prompt content or model output.
To operate the service we rely on a small number of vetted third-party processors, all of whom are bound by data-processing agreements consistent with applicable law (GDPR, CCPA where relevant). Categories include:

Every rewrite you make is saved locally in your Chrome extension storage only. We do not see it, copy it, or back it up. If you uninstall the extension or clear browser data, your history is permanently gone — there is no cloud copy to restore.
The extension itself does not use cookies. The website uses only essential cookies required for the checkout flow to function. We do not use any third-party advertising trackers or sell data for advertising purposes.
For site analytics we use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, EU-hosted tool that does not set cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across sites. It records aggregate page views and CTA clicks only. Full details are published at plausible.io/data-policy.

Wellphrase is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+). Account data sits in encrypted databases. Card data never touches our servers — Stripe handles it. We do not have, and never will have, your credit card number.
If we materially change how we collect or use data, we'll update this page and post a notice in the extension. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
