One-click rewrite
A quiet floating button appears next to your input. Click it. Your sentence gets re-edited in place — tighter verbs, clearer ask, no fluff.
Wellphrase is a Chrome extension that rewrites your prompt the moment before you send it. One click turns a rushed sentence into something precise — right inside Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or Perplexity. No tab switching, no copy-paste, no prompt library to maintain.
Same intent. Sharper verbs. Fewer filler words. Delivered inline, where you're already typing.
The extension does these well. Nothing it pretends to do.
A quiet floating button appears next to your input. Click it. Your sentence gets re-edited in place — tighter verbs, clearer ask, no fluff.
Pick a voice before the rewrite: concise, technical, warm, analytical, plain-English. Same prompt, different register — no re-typing.
A small shelf of starting points for common tasks — code review, summary, interview script, critique. Insert, fill in, send.
Pull the current tab's text into your prompt with one click. Useful when you're asking about an article, doc, or ticket open next to you.
Free gets 10 rewrites per day — resets at midnight UTC. Most people never hit it. Studio removes the cap and keeps unlimited history.
Three themes for the extension UI — including the paper palette this site is printed on. Studio subscribers choose; everyone else gets paper.
Free on the Chrome Web Store. Two clicks. No account needed — the free tier works the moment it loads.
Open Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or Perplexity. Write the messy, rushed version of what you actually want. A small Wellphrase button appears beside the input.
Your prompt is rewritten in place — you can edit it further or send as-is. Every rewrite lands in your local history for next time.
Your prompt is sent to the Wellphrase rewriting API for the duration of the rewrite, then discarded. Nothing is stored server-side beyond what's needed to bill Studio subscriptions. Your rewrite history lives locally in your browser — never on our servers.
Your prompt travels over TLS to our API, which routes it to a vetted third-party language-model provider that performs the rewrite. The result comes back, the request is discarded — nothing is logged on our side beyond what Stripe needs for billing. Named processors are listed in our privacy policy (and available on request).
Claude (claude.ai), ChatGPT (chatgpt.com), Gemini (gemini.google.com), Copilot (copilot.microsoft.com), and Perplexity (perplexity.ai). If you'd like support for another site, write to us — we add them based on demand.
No. Install the extension and start using it immediately. You only sign in when you upgrade to Studio.
Free gives you 10 rewrites per day on all five supported sites — resets at midnight UTC. Studio removes the daily cap, unlocks all 11 style presets, three variants per rewrite, light/dark themes, priority model routing, and unlimited local history.
Yes — 7 days, no charge. We hold your card via Stripe but nothing gets billed until day 7. Cancel from inside the extension any time before then and you pay $0. No tricks, no forms, no hold music.
The FAB shows a small "limit reached" card with a countdown to midnight UTC and a Start-trial button. Your history and settings stay intact — the counter just pauses rewrites for the rest of the day.
Yes — one click in the extension's Manage Subscription panel. If you cancel during the 7-day trial you're charged $0. After that, billing stops at the end of the current month and you keep Studio features until then.
If your team uses chatgpt.com or claude.ai through standard logins, yes. For private model deployments or white-labelled interfaces, get in touch — we handle those case by case.
